works of art on or with paper, which we exhibit as a group.

Our 35th Anniversary Exhibition has ended…

but the Celebration continues online

With more than 100 works from 28 current and invited past 19 On Paper members, our two-month long 35th Anniversary Exhibition at the Bristol Art Museum was a great success. The quality, diversity, and quantity of the art was impressive. With over 120 attendees, the late November reception was a wonderful opportunity to see the art, meet the artists, and create new, and rekindle old friendships. Offering a deeper view into the artistic process and journeys, 19 On Paper artists - Cynthia DiDonato, Kendra Ferreira, and Cindy Horovitz Wilson, presented a selection of past and ongoing work in a mid-December panel discussion with over 25 attendees. Happily for all, some outstanding art was sold finding their forever homes with grateful art lovers.

What’s In The Mail In Bristol?

When the Bristol Art Museum’s National Juried Exhibition “Breadth and Depth – Earth, Air and Fire” asked artists to mail in their art in a 9” x 12” envelope, the results were very creative.

Four 19 On Paper members’ works were selected for the exhibition, shown below clockwise from the top left, Felicia Touhey’s three-dimensional assemblage of intaglio etchings, Etched in Time, Cynthia DiDonato’s digital artwork, World on Fire, B. L. Green’s work, Within, and Ann-Marie Gillett’s hand painted tape on Yupo, Interconnected.

A reception will be held on February 11th, 2 – 4 PM, the show opens on February 4th and runs through March 24th.

Awards In Barcelona

As part of the 19th Pollux Awards Competition, Paul Murray's Cuban image, The Chemist's Choice, was selected as the Winner in the Professional Division's Still Life category (shown below top center). An additional eight of Paul’s photographs earned Honorable Mentions, five of whom are shown below, clockwise from the top right, including La Historia Me Absolvera, The Last Dance, The Conversation, A Crowded Start, and Enormity. Consisting of most of the competition's award-winning images, the show was on display at FotoNostrum’s expansive Barcelona gallery throughout most of December 2023.

A Triple Win In Colorado

Paul Murray’s Cuban image, Training for Life, shown below top, was awarded Best in Show and First Place in People, and his Namibian image, Enormity, shown below bottom, earned a Second Place in Landscape in the Lincoln Gallery and Thompson Valley Art League's 2023 National Photography Show. Drawn from over 400 entries, the 35-work show was on view and in their gallery in Loveland, CO.

Prayers Answered In California

In the Marin Society of Artists' Fresh Art 2023 Online Exhibition, Paul Murray’s Icelandic image, Evening Prayer, was awarded an Honorable Mention, and his Cuban image, The Chemist's Choices, shown below left to right, was selected for the show. Representing 49 artists from 16 states, Great Britain, and South Korea, the show is on view online with an almost eight-minute video, and runs through February 16th.

Cruising To An Award In Connecticut

Paul Murray’s 12-metre racing image, A Crowded Start, shown below top, was awarded an Honorable Mention, and his Namibian images, Sand Fog, and Watering with a Flair, shown below bottom left to right, were included in the Arts Center East's 12th Annual Photography Exhibit. The month-long 91-image show garnered from more than 200 entries was on view online and in their Vernon, CT, galleries.
