The group encourages a diversity of approaches to works on paper. It is this diversity that enriches our exhibitions (see Past Exhibitions).

Membership in the group is by jury of the current membership after a presentation of slides, actual work and resume of proposed membership by a current member (sponsor), when a vacancy occurs.

"19 On Paper" is a participatory group of professional artists.  Our goal is to present our work to the public through:  exhibitions of the group's work, a vibrant website, and the sale of group portfolios.  To this end members must be willing to contribute their time and effort, as well as present their artwork.  To keep the group functioning, members:

• Attend monthly meetings on a regular basis, September through June (3 absences allowed per year)
• Contribute bi-annually $25 dues that cover operating expenses
• Participation in one or more of the committees which form the organization of the group: Exhibitions, PR, Marketing, Meeting Notes, Treasurer, etc.
• Volunteer to help either organize, transport, install or dismantle exhibitions and present portfolios to corporate and and other prospective clients
• Send all pertinent materials to the web master (i.e. artist statement, resume, digital images and image list) You will receive a minimum of  3 web pages
• Portfolio boxes of members' small works are used for exhibitions, publicity, and sale purposes.  You will need to provide work for these portfolios. Please contact Howard Rubenstein for more information.

Prospective members:
1) Submit a resume and include your name, address, phone number, e-mail, and web site information if you have one
2) Submit 8 - 10 slides or photos of work not more than five years old in a clear plastic slide sheet. Please include your name, title of work, medium, and  
    dimensions on each slide or photo copy
OR   submit a CD containing digital artwork. Please include a list of the submitted works on the CD (Title, medium, dimensions)
4) Please make arrangements with the member presenting your work for the return of all materials
5) We suggest that three or four art works be submitted so that the group can view actual work

19 On Paper will inform all candidates of the results immediately after the next monthly meeting
